What is Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl)?
Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) is a powerful cleaning and disinfecting ingredient naturally produced by the body’s immune system. It’s widely used in healthcare, wellness, food service, and professional environments because it is both effective and gentle when properly formulated.
Why does Multi-Use Hypochlorous have a slight chlorine-like smell?
Our Multi-Use Hypochlorous is made through the electrolyzation of regular salt (NaCl) and water — nothing else is added. Salt naturally contains sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl) molecules. During the molecular separation process, the chlorine side becomes part of the hypochlorous solution while the sodium side is separated into our degreaser cleaner.
Because hypochlorous contains free chlorine molecules, some people notice a light chlorine-like scent. This is completely normal. The chlorine in hypochlorous comes naturally from salt and is very different from harsh chemical cleaning products.
Do your products contain fragrance?
No. We do not add fragrance, perfumes, masking scents, or essential oils to our products.
How should I store the products?
Store tightly sealed in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
Are your products EPA registered?
We offer EPA-registered hypochlorous disinfectant options in select sizes. These products are sold under the Viking Pure® brand and use the same core hypochlorous technology. All products are freshly manufactured in our Colorado facility.
What is the difference between your EPA-registered hypochlorous products and your home-use hypochlorous products?
Our EPA-registered hypochlorous disinfectant products are produced and sold under the Viking Pure® brand in approved EPA-registered containers and labeling. These products are freshly manufactured in our Colorado facility, typically shipped within 1–2 business days of production, and include a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) with each shipment.
Our home-use hypochlorous products are manufactured using the same core hypochlorous process and are also freshly made in our Colorado facility. These products are designed for customers looking for a simple everyday cleaning and refreshing solution who do not require EPA-registered disinfectant labeling or packaging.
What makes Organic Clean Co. products different?
Organic Clean Co. products are manufactured in Colorado using advanced equipment developed and refined by a team of engineers and chemists. Our patented molecular separation process is designed to reduce excess salt residue in the final product, helping create a cleaner, more refined solution that is gentler on surfaces and skin.
Through this electrolyzed separation process, two distinct products are produced:
- A multi-use hypochlorous solution
- A high pH degreaser cleaner
The process also energizes the solutions during production, helping enhance overall cleaning performance while maintaining a simple ingredient approach.
